MNNC Logo Certification

The Mediation Network of North Carolina's process is for Certification of volunteer mediators at member centers.

To qualify for certification, volunteers must successfully complete the following:

1. 20 hour Mediation Training Program through one of our Member Centers.
2. Fulfill apprenticeship requirements with a certified mediator for a minimum of ten sessions.
3. Complete ten additional hours of approved training. 
4. Be approved by the director of the sponsoring member center as a proficient mediator.
5. Agree in writing to abide by the "Standard and Ethical
" guidelines of MNNC.
6. Agree to non-discriminatory policy of MNNC.
7. Agree to attend regular in-service training programs administered through or approved by the Mediation Network training committee.

Certification must be renewed through the Sponsoring Centers and MNNC every two years, and is not open to mediators who are not active volunteers at Member Centers of Mediation Network of North Carolina.
